Prepare your heart! Join us for Stations of the Cross each Friday in Lent at St. John of God Church prior to daily Mass at 8:15am, and at 7pm. Please consider taking part in this excellent and moving Lenten practice.
We will once again offer Soup & Scripture after the Saturday Vigil Masses during the Season of Lent, beginning February 21st through March 28th. Fr. King will combine this with the Lenten Bible Study, when we will be reading John Bergsma's Psalm Ba-sics for Catholics. Soup & Scripture will take place at St. John of God Hall after Mass and begin approximately 5:30pm. We will need soup makers! Please contact Diane Rickards at 862-812-8516 to sign-up to make soup or bring bread. She will have a sign-up sheet available each week at Soup & Scrip¬ture. (You may also call the office.) If you haven't figured out yet what you might do for Lent, this is a great way to dive in with your fellow parishioners.
We are pleased to provide an update on our paver project_ The initial 40 requests have been submitted to the engraver and we have received the proofs for approval. Fol¬lowing minor corrections, the engraving pro¬cess will commence upon completion, after which the pavers will be installed. Purchas¬ers will be notified upon installation of their respective pavers. Thank you!
If you're interested in learning a lost art, you are in luck! We will be hosting a palm weaving class on Saturday, March 28th, at 10am in the St. John of God Parish Hall. No experience is necessary. Palm will be provided. Make sure you take your finished creations to Mass, so they can be blessed!
